How to create custom magazines with Readbetter

Last Update hace 10 meses

Instead of receiving content separately, Readbetter magazines let you group together multiple newsletters and articles into one file and receive it at a regular pre-defined time.

You can set up daily and weekly magazines. This is especially useful to avoid too much clutter and “content-overload” on your Kindle, but instead receive a grouped set of content that you want to read.

On your Kindle, a magazine looks like this:

Setting up Magazines

💡The magazine feature is only available on the Unlimited plans.

To set up your magazines, head to https://readbetter.io/app/magazines. Here you will see a tabbed window and can switch between the settings for your daily and weekly magazines.

You can enable or disable each of these magazines and select the specific time and day (for the weekly magazine), when the magazine should be delivered to your Kindle.

Adding Content to a magazine

Adding content to a magazine works in a similar way to sending content to your Kindle directly via the Readbetter Inbox, Quick Send, and Chrome extension.

Adding content via Readbetter Inbox

Instead of forwarding mails and newsletters to your regular Readbetter inbox address, you can send them to either of these email addresses. (Your unique address is displayed here).

📧 [your-custom-inbox-code]@dailymagazine.readbetter.io

📧 [your-custom-inbox-code]@weeklymagazine.readbetter.io

Adding content via Quick Send

On the Readbetter dashboard, when generating the preview content, you will see these buttons that allow you to add the article to the upcoming daily or weekly magazine:

Adding content via Chrome extension

This is especially useful for any kind of paywalled content that you have access to. For general setup instructions for the Chrome extension, go here.

In the Chrome extension you can click on the “Add to … Magazine” buttons to add the content you’re currently viewing to the upcoming edition of your magazine.
